Mange is a skin condition that is typically easy to treat if caught early enough, but when a street dog contracts mange, it can lead to infections that are life-threatening due to lack of care. Thankfully, Animal Aid Unlimited has treated countless cases of mange in street dogs, including one lucky dog named Jaime. When rescuers first found this poor little guy, he had no fur and was encased in rock hard sores. They wasted no time in getting Jaime to the vet to begin the weeks-long treatment.
Jaime’s caretakers gave him everything he needed to make a full recovery, including a fresh meal, cuddles, and love. His wounds healed, his skin softened, and after five weeks of continuous care, sweet Jaime made an incredible transformation! His fur grew back as a lush brown with the cutest white markings you’ll ever see! Watching him relax in the pool, play tug-of-war, and eat up all the love he is receiving from new friends is nothing short of magical.
