Talk about an “extreme makeover”! When Animal Aid Unlimited responded to a call about a dog who was scratching so much his skin was bleeding, they could have never been prepared to witness the dog’s severe case of mange. The poor homeless dog had absolutely no fur and was in so much pain that rescuers couldn’t even get near him or pet him.
They were able to secure the poor pup with the help of a net. After he was safe, they named him Troy and transported him to the Animal Aid Unlimited shelter to begin treatment. Troy was given medicated baths for eight weeks, and although it was likely a very painful recovery process, his caretakers say he remained sweet through it all!
The transformation they reveal at the end of this video is nothing short of miraculous! Troy went from timid, tired, and depressed to a bouncing ball of, dare we say – fur! Watching this sweet boy jumping, cuddling, and playing will literally make your heart smile.
