Playful Pup Keeps His Deaf Older Sister on Her Toes

Theodore, a hound from Michigan, has made a name for himself with his hilarious antics toward his older, deaf sister, Annie. Living with their human, Stephanie, along with another dog and a cat, Theodore has always been attached to Annie since being adopted two years ago. Despite Annie’s age—15 years—and her near-total loss of hearing and vision, Theodore seems determined to keep her engaged in his own playful way.

In a viral TikTok video, Theodore can be seen getting right up to Annie’s ears, barking loudly to make sure she “hears” him. Even though Annie is 95% deaf, Theodore won’t let that stop him from pestering her like the ultimate little brother. Annie, unfazed by his behavior, barks back, and the two seem to have a lively, back-and-forth exchange.
