A man from Newfane, New York, is facing multiple charges after allegedly beating two puppies to death last week in an incident that has sparked outrage among locals. Twenty-three-year-old Christian Radetich-Hallman was arrested Tuesday following an investigation led by the New York State Police.
The police were first alerted to the situation on Thursday, October 24, after receiving reports of animal cruelty at a residence in upstate New York. Upon arrival, authorities discovered two young dogs that had suffered fatal injuries. A 4-month-old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel was reportedly found in a trash can, while a 3-month-old Australian Shepherd was located in a separate area of the home.
Radetich-Hallman now faces two counts of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of criminal tampering with evidence. The investigation led to his arrest and involved collaborative efforts among the Niagara County SPCA, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Parole.
