This video shows exactly where a baby elephant should be! Just like all babies, animal and human, they should be with their families.
They should not be alone without their mothers, forced to jump through waves by cruel keepers — and no, they should not be giving humans rides through the jungle. That is NOT why elephants exist! They exist to do exactly what this mother and her baby are doing, exploring, bonding, and you know, just going for a stroll.
Elephants are amazing animals that can use tools, they also have complex emotional ties to their families, and their size and beauty are unmatched on land. Elephants, like orcas, do not belong in captivity and they should not be bred in cages or displays – they need our respect and our help.
Raising awareness is as easy as sharing this post, it is also as easy as NOT sharing baby elephant videos and giving background information to those that do. Those videos might seem cute at first, but the real beauty lies in watching elephants wild and free, exploring, taking mud baths, and even getting the occasional boot like little Maya!
Absolutely wonderful!
