Loving Mama Cat Adopts a Squirrel Baby as Her Own (VIDEO)

There are few things in life more sacred than the bond between a momma and her new babies. This is certainly as true for animals as it is for humans. Sometimes, mothers can become very protective over their young, keeping anyone and anything away from their nest. At other times, they seem eager to share their babies with the world.  In fact, some animals like motherhood so much, that they will become a surrogate mother to just about any other creature in need.

This was the case for the momma cat in this video, who seems to be enjoying all of the attention that having new babies brings. As the dog watches on in what looks like disbelief, she nurses her kittens and seems to have even welcomed a baby squirrel into her playful brood. This adorable video is a good example of how adaptable animals can be, towards different species. If only humans could get along this well with all of our differences!
