What’s better than enjoying an iced beverage on a hot summer day? Knowing that part of the proceeds is going to charity! Lady Gaga has partnered with Starbucks to promote four vegan iced drinks in the name of a great cause. For each drink sold, the company will Donate $0.25 to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and the Channel Kindness project. Founded by the pop icon, the Born This Way Foundation has a mission to create a more compassionate world that fosters mental wellness and self-care for youth. The sales will specifically benefit the Channel Kindness project, which empowers young activists to report and recognize acts of kindness that all too often go unrecognized.
For this special promotion, Starbucks will offer its now-iconic Pink Drink and Ombré Pink Drink (their Cool Lime Refresher mixed with coconut milk and a splash of Teavana Shaken Iced Passion Tango) along with two all-new flavors: Violet Drink and Matcha Lemonade. The Violet Drink (just looking at the color, we know it’s gonna be Instagrammable) is a blend of blackberries, hibiscus, and coconut milk and Matcha Lemonade combines matcha green tea and lemonade.
Starbucks knows what’s up — Instagram’s kind of obsessed with (and let’s be real, we are too) all foods bright and colorful. That’s likely why they released their take on the “unicorn food” trend, the Unicorn Frappuccino, just last month. But this time, it’s for more than just the ‘gram. Starbucks’ strategy of offering an array of vibrant drinks in the name of charity is a pretty clever way of helping out youth.
Worried about the single-use plastic cups and straws that come with the drinks? Don’t worry, you can bring a mason jar and a reusable straw so you can sip on your colorful drink without worrying about where that plastic is going to end up.
Or, you can always make your own cafe-style beverages at home, like this Sunshine Turmeric Latte or this colorful Unicorn Frappuccino. For even more vegan recipes, we highly recommend checking out the Food Monster App, available for both Android and iPhone that makes cooking at home easier than ever. On the Food Monster App, you’ll find 8,000+ vegan recipes with 10+ recipes added daily. Not only that, the app has cooking tips, how to’s, and more. What are you waiting for? Give it a try?

These charities are very good, but I am angered by her hypocrisy.. When I hear her name all I see is a picture of her wearing a dress made of beef steaks.
What about Lady Gaga\’s love of fur? It\’s well and good that the woman supports some charitable endeavors, but her glaring absence of respect or compassion for animals should exclude her from having her interests promoted on this website.
I agree 100%, Kim
I was just going to say the same thing. Fur-loving hypocrite.
