Welcoming a companion animal into your home is a lifelong commitment. However, many people don’t seem to understand that. It’s something that you may have even witnessed: your neighbor moves away, leaving their outdoor cat behind without a reliable source of food and without shelter. Between abandonment and feral cat populations, there are millions of homeless pets in the United States, and that’s a huge problem. Waffles the cat is one such kitty who lost his home when his family moved and left him behind. Lucky for him, his former family’s neighbor, Imgur user SplitChickadee, realized that the cat was on his own and set out to help.
Waffles may have a pretty sweet set-up right now, but we hope he finds a brand new forever home soon. It’s thanks to one human’s compassion for an abandoned kitty that he’ll never have to scrounge for food or huddle for warmth in the outdoors again.

THEY SHOULD KEEP WAFFLES THE GREAT CAT.
Pets are for life – he\’s gorgeous, why don\’t they just adopt him. My brother did something similar for a feral cat who lived near his home.
This is confusing. Did he find a forever home or is this not it? It’s very nice that the neighbor made sure the kitty lived through the winter, but does he need a home? Flyers should be posted to find him a home
