As news of the fires in Australia continue, celebrities and influencers are pitching in to help and show support for the country down under.
Orange is the New Black actor Yael Stone pledged to give up her United States green card. The actress is an Australian native and said that the traveling was not environmentally sustainable. She said in an instagram and Twitter post, ” The carbon emissions alone from that flying – it’s unethical. It’s not right. So I will be going through the process of giving up my green card, and saying goodbye to a life in America. I’m going to be here in Australia doing the the work I can to make a difference here. Because the time is now.”
