Mexico is a beautiful country blessed with an endless coastline, a warm, balmy climate and a plethora of natural resources. For many people, it is considered a tropical paradise, yet it is anything but paradise for the millions of homeless animals living there. Lupita is a sweet puppy who, unfortunately, found herself living on an abandoned lot behind a school in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
Life on the streets can be hard on animals, especially in warm climates, where bugs and heat are a constant problem. When the good people at the International Fund For Animal Welfare (IFAW) found Lupita, she was covered in ticks and suffering from starvation and severe thirst. Luckily, they were able to win her over with food and affection and took her to a nearby clinic for medical treatment.
Soon, Lupita was a good as new! After a bath and a few days of TLC, she was finally ready to go to her new, forever home.
