A hilarious video on TikTok recently went viral of an adorable Golden Retriever named Cooper who retrieves things that he isn’t supposed to.
@wreckitcooper why is he like this 😳 #goldenretriever #petsoftiktok #pettok
Yes, Golden Retrievers are actually named after their ability to retrieve items, previously game birds and other objects during hunting. The breed was developed in Scotland during the 19th century, where they were selectively bred by aristocrats who wanted a dog that could retrieve game from both water and land. Over time, the breed became popular for their friendly and loyal temperament, making it a beloved family pet and Cooper is no different.
Cooper the Golden Retriever went viral after @Wreckitcooper posted a video on TikTok of different clips of the pup retrieving random items in the house. These items included dirty slippers, a phone, a clothing hanger, and an entire bag of kibble.
The video has been viewed over 3 million times and users can’t get over how adorable Cooper is.
“If not retrievable, then why retrievable shaped?” one user commented.
“Ma’m if he wasn’t meant to retrieve, he’d be called something else. No fine print says what he should retrieve. Goodest boy ever. 10/10” another added.
