Near River Road in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, on a bright Sunday morning, a kayaker made an astounding find – six newborn puppies tied up in a grain bag. The pups, only just starting to open their eyes, were clearly dumped into the water – and were unbelievably lucky to be found in time to save them.
Information about the finding and a picture of the puppies was shared on Facebook by the Uxbridge Police Department. The babies were claimed by an animal control officer who responded to the scene. Fortunately, they are all in good shape, considering the circumstances, and expected to survive.
The Police Department responsible for the case urges anyone who has any information that could lead to the person who committed the atrocious act to contact Officer Benjamin Smoot at Uxbridge PD. Hopefully, the responsible party will be found and brought to justice as soon as possible.
