A Friend’s Cat Passed Away Leaving a Litter of Kittens, So This Family Did Something Awesome!
Aren’t cats just awesome? Those of us who have experienced the joy of having a kitteh or two (or three, or four…) in our lives are well aware that these feisty creatures know how to get their way. If a hooman’s behavior fails to meet their high standards, they are not shy about making their feelings known, and there is seemingly no end to the mischief a kitten can get up to! However, they are also the most amazing cuddle bugs imaginable. In their mellow moments, they express the most tender love and care for their hoomans, their fellow felines, and their other animal friends.
All of this excitement and joy lies ahead for Imgur user Slizzy08, whose family just welcomed an adorable new kitten into their lives! He made an announcement of the kitten’s arrival on Imgur, explaining that they took her in after her mother – who had lived with a friend of the family – sadly passed away. “We adopted this little girl because the owner said they had no time to personally take care of them all,” he said.
We have no doubt that everyone in the house will be head over heels in love with her before long!
It is wonderful to know that in this sweet baby’s hour of need, a loving family was ready and willing to take care of her.

Slizzy08 ended his super-adorable post by saying, “Never had a cat before so advice is welcomed.”
Needless to say, veteran cat lovers were quick to offer him some gems of advice, including: “Petting around ears and chin is always good,” “Get her spayed,” and “Play with toys with her.” This little nugget has got to be our personal favorite, as it is so beautiful in its simplicity: “Just love her. Oh, and (give her) nose boops.” Let’s hope that she and her new family get to enjoy many years of happiness together! Just had kitties for last 12 years, never before. Clean the litter box at least every other day. And bestest thing is when the kittie puts his face near yours and gives you a \’head butt\’. I just learned of this a few years ago! I never knew what it meant. it means he loves you and is claiming you as his own. So cool! You can gently head butt him to. They love it because you are showing him you love him and are his daddy.
So good of you to take the kittie in. I was raised to hate cats. Never planned on getting one, but was put into a situation. Once I had had one, I realized how great they are. (The dog does get jealous sometimes tho. LOL!)
