The verdict is in, Kitty Paradise is an awesome place to be a cat! Kindness Ranch, a haven for former research animals of all shapes and sizes, started construction on their newest addition earlier this year. Tamra Brennen, executive director of Kindness Ranch, said the goal is to provide “an enriching, fun space where cats can be cats – where they can jump, climb, watch birds and butterflies, spend time outside safely, nap in the sun, and chase toys to their hearts’ content.”

On December 7, Kitty Paradise was finally open for business! The 17 resident cats of Kindness Ranch were moved into the new building and allowed to slowly acclimate to their cool, new surroundings. This building was designed from top to bottom with the cats in mind. Kitty Paradise is complete with shelves, ladders, and new toys as well as an outdoor playground where cats can observe their beautiful surroundings, birds and animals galore! This new addition to Kindness Ranch will not only provide the best possible world for these former research cats, but provides room for more cats who need a home in the future.

Kindness Ranch’s goal is to provide every former lab animal the chance to forget the life confined to a cage that was filled with fear and pain and lead a life where they are free to be themselves – and to be loved for it! Life isn’t bad anymore for these lucky former research cats thanks to the loving care and home provided by Kindness Ranch and its staff.
