The job of a firefighter is a very important one. When disaster strikes, they are among the first people called to step in and save the day. And if we know anything about firefighters, it is that they always save the day. Just check out this video featuring California firefighters who responded to an urgent call in West Hollywood.
Now, this isn’t the typical scene you would expect and there are no burning buildings in sight (thank goodness), but perhaps it is even more amazing and heartwarming because of this. These firefighters are on a mission to rescue a dog that found herself stuck in a six-inch wide gap between two buildings.
How the dog managed to wedge her way into this tiny space is unknown, but getting her out required a bit of creative thinking. Using the tried and true “soap method” to make the walls slippery, the firefighters were able to construct a sort of pulley system to wriggle the poor pup out.
You can almost see the look of relief on the dog’s face when she is finally free. Shortly after her rescue, the firefighters were able to reunite her with her family. Needless to say, this pup won’t be crawling into any tight spaces again!
