It’s our favorite kind of story! A before and after series of photos that will put a smile on your face and bring you to (happy) tears.
So firstly, let us introduce you to the beautiful Sang Su. Sang Su is a Cocker Spaniel mix that starts off our story resembling something more like an old floor mop! Trio Animal Foundation stepped in to help him when they heard of his condition.
Sang Su was in such a mess when he was found that it was difficult to even really see where his face was!

Every strand of his fur was matted and soaked with urine, and it took a team of medical staff two hours to rid an anesthetized Sang Su of his neglected fur.

Look at Sang Su’s poor ears! Both were infected, covered in sores, and were starting to form hematomas caused by him constantly shaking his head trying to rid himself of the constant, horrible discomfort these infections have caused him.

Somewhere under this mass of fur poor Sang Su also had a secondary skin infection! He had major inflammation in places where his fur has become so matted that it has pulled his skin.

Poor Sang Su looked so lost. All he wanted was some affection. His eyes were vacant as though he had already given up on life.

Now … we did promise some after pictures. You might be mistaken for thinking this is a completely different dog!

Look at this beautiful little face! Don’t you just want to wrap him up in a big hug?

Here is Sang Su beginning to explore his surroundings after his treatment.

And here is Sang Su meeting Trio Animal Foundation’s therapy dog Eeyore, making new friends!

It is impossible to appreciate just how big a mess this poor little boy was in without seeing his before and after shots next to each other. We are so excited to see you, Sang Su! We can’t wait to hear from you in your future forever home!

It is awful to imagine how long Sang Su might have been in this condition. It takes time for fur to twist and become matted to this extent. We see so many dogs that are neglected and alone, left to get into this state. This is why we should become a nation of dog adopters, to give homes to more dogs who have been through similar ordeals.
Trio Animal Foundation continues to amaze us with their never-ending care for homeless animals. They help those in need when they have no one else and deserve our Support so they can continue their vital work. Please consider giving a donation, or visit their Facebook page to find out more!
