Homeless Dog With a Tumor so Large it Touches the Ground is Finally Getting the Help She Needs

Ruby, a dog who was recently taken under the wing of the Guardians of the Voiceless team, needs every last bit of help she can get. The poor dog was found suffering from a seriously large tumor – but those words do not give the full picture of Ruby’s plight at all.

The Guardians were informed by a friend of the rescue about a gentle female dog he had found with a massive tumor on her stomach. The dog clearly needed immediate help, but only once the rescuers arrived at the place and saw Ruby with their own eyes did they realize the true gravity of the situation. It was a shocking sight – Ruby’s tumor turned out to be so big that it literally reached the ground when the dog was standing up. With such horrible weight, it was difficult for the animal to even simply walk. To add to that, Ruby was found to have a transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) on her genitals.

Ruby needs to undergo a surgery as soon as possible to relieve her of the painful and dangerous weight of the tumor. She is also going to need an extensive treatment for her TVT.

The dog is now going to be taken to the Ludhiana Universtiy Hospital where she will have a surgery right away. Hopefully, the vets will find that the tumor is malignant – if it is not, Ruby has great chances of fully recovering!

Despite her terrible condition, Ruby is a sweet girl, calm and gentle. Fortunately, Mr. Taresm, who called up the Guardians about Ruby in the first place, agreed to keep her and take care of her until she heals.

Beautiful Ruby had all the luck in the world to be found by a good person and given help so she could have the chance to fully get back to health. We hope everyone’s good wishes for her will turn into reality and her story will have the most wonderful happy ending possible!
