Dog Follows Baby Hammerhead Shark in Shallow Water

A TikTok showing a dog’s fascination with an unusual animal is going viral on TikTok. Posted by the account @kalalakoala02, the video enthralled viewers. In the video, a small black and white dog can be seen curiously following a young shark as it swims in shallow water.

The video is captioned “strange friends” and notes that “the baby hammerhead was not harmed at all by the dog! she followed the shark curiously and i kept an eye on both the whole time.” Viewers loved the video, which has been liked over 685,000 times. However, many pointed out that, while the dog seemed to be having a great time chasing her new friend, it was less clear how the young shark felt. While this video is adorable, it is not advised to let dogs chase wildlife as it can result in stress for the wildlife or harm to either the wild creatures or the dogs.
