This Sweet Dog Has Facial Burns So Deep Rescuers Are Baffled She Survived

Rescue Dogs Rock is bringing us a story today about a poor little girl who has been severely burnt.

Lottie was taken to a shelter with horrific burns all over her face. She was in so much agony that she couldn’t even blink without causing herself pain. Because she was so unwell the shelter decided there was no choice but to euthanize her, and Lottie was given a deadline just in case anyone wanted to step in to help.

Of course, the heroes that make up Rescue Dogs Rock stepped in to do just that, saving Lottie just before her deadline and arranging her transport to a vet for life-saving care. Lottie is currently with their South Texas Vet Partner recovering. She is on strong pain medication and is receiving laser treatments for her severe burns. After her carers checked her over, they realized Lottie’s burns were really deep, and so much tissue was damaged that it’s almost a miracle she is still alive. Her medical care is going to be both costly and lengthy, and Lottie has a lot of work ahead of her to recover.

There is no reason on this earth that a dog should be made to suffer like poor Lottie has. Can you imagine the constant pain these burns have caused her, how scared she must have been? What is it with us humans who would put an animal through this agony, and torture them for sport, or entertainment? We hope that justice is served for Lottie and all the other dogs out there who have been abused and neglected, so they can finally be given the happy lives they deserve.
