This family knew exactly what to do when a dog wandered into their yard and collapsed. Call Hope for Paws, of course! A team of two, Eldad and Loreta, arrived at the rescue site in no time and found little Milo in a lot of pain and distress yet responsive. The pup appeared to have a broken paw and was suffering from malnutrition. The little dog was checked for a microchip, carried to the vehicle in a makeshift gurney, and transported to the veterinarian for diagnosis.
Once Milo arrived at the hospital, x-rays were given and revealed he was suffering from a serious infection that resulted from a bite wound. The doctor gave him pain medication, antibiotics, and a nice warm bath. He also had a significant amount of pus buildup removed from his shoulder. As you can imagine, he was feeling a lot better after the care he received. He even started to respond to affection from the staff!
Milo’s story didn’t end there though. After a long recovery process, the terrier mix transformed into a happy, loving and playful dog. Best of all, he found a forever home with a fabulous family thanks to the folks at Cause for SB Paws. According to Milo’s new family, he’s also had quite the impact on their other adopted dog Grace! Apparently, the old girl has found a new playful spunkiness ever since the young pup arrived on the scene!
