The first thing she avoids is tap water. Tap water has been shown to have toxins and heavy metals in it. The heavy metals found in tap water may harm your health if consumed over time. A better option is to drink from a Brita filter to ensure your water is clean and filtered.
She also avoids drinking from plastic water bottles. Apart from the negative impact they have on our planet, water bottles contain phthalates and BPA’s, which are bad for your health, and are hormone disruptors. They may interfere with the body’s normal use of hormones. Instead, use a BPA-free water bottle!
Her third tip is to avoid spending too much time watching the news. While it is always good to be aware of what’s going on around the world, you may want to limit the time watching the news for your mental health. Consuming too much negativity can affect your well-being.
Next, she avoids parabens and artificial preservatives that can act like estrogen.
Lastly, she avoids aluminum. This applies to utensils and pans. If untreated aluminum is used in the preparation of salty or acidic foods, large amounts of aluminum can be released into food. It is best to use non-toxic cookware such as ceramic.
