I think my childhood movies are what helped me turn vegan

The user explained that their parents introduced them to Disney movies when they were very small. They also had been enamored by animals, so it was no surprise when they took a liking to the ones with animal themes.
“I was thinking about these movies and realized that all of my favorites had vegan or Animal rights themes 😭 I think that’s why I’ve had empathy towards animals from a young age.” the user wrote.
The user then listed nine well-known children’s movies with animal themes that helped them to grow their compassion for animals.
After the list, the user questioned how they didn’t become vegan sooner.
One user comments on the post: “It’s funny how people love this films for those exact reasons, but all the documentaries on how real life animals are being abused are propaganda and we are a cult…
“I’m glad these films exist and continue to be discussed. People clearly care about animals and how they are treated, but i think there is a disconnect between knowing something and doing something about it (i.e. becoming vegan).”
