When you walk into Janette Reever’s house, you are sure to spot six little tails wagging on the floor. One of those tails might surprise you though..it’s a little bit smaller…oh and there’s a pig attached to it! It’s not just any pig, but Sir Arnold Peabody, a very special rescue pig.
Arnold came to live with Janette, deputy manager for animal fighting response with HSUS, and his five canine siblings after being rescued from a group of college students who adopted him thinking he would be teacup size for his entire life. Clearly, dorm life was not the future little Arnold had in mind. After one day the students realized it wasn’t going to work and he was sent to PIGS Sanctuary in West Virginia, where he was adopted by Janette.
Arnold’s current living conditions are much more fitting for his piggy needs. Janette had always wanted to adopt a pot-bellied pig and owns the perfect property, filled with mud, for Arnold to thrive alongside his other four-legged friends.
