Another vegan ice cream!? Well, you certainly won’t hear us complaining! Global discount supermarket chain, Aldi, has launched TWO new dairy-free ice creams. Both are coconut based and come in two flavors: plain coconut, and coconut and chocolate.
With Häagen-Dazs, Halo Top and Breyer’s already in on the vegan ice cream game (and of course we can’t forget Ben and Jerry’s line of vegan ice cream flavors!), we aren’t surprised Aldi wants to stay on top of consumer trends.
After all, consumer demand for milk alternatives is on the rise. People are becoming more concerned about their own health and are also coming to realize the impact that their food choices have on the planet and animals. As a result, they are actively looking for alternatives that can not only replace the traditional animal products they grew up with – but also surpass them in taste and quality as well. With the entire plant-based milk market expected to reach 16.3 billion in 2018, it seems like a total no-brainer that Aldi would want to offer their own awesome non-dairy ice creams to meet this rising opportunity. We certainly can’t wait to get our hands on Aldi’s new vegan ice creams!
