And if you’re really concerned about plants, you should be avoiding meat anyway. Did you know it takes 16 pounds of grain to produce just one pound of beef? That’s a whole lotta plants for one burger.
3. Lions kill animals in the wild.

Were you planning on chasing down a gazelle, ripping it apart with your claws and eating it raw? And what exactly does a wild carnivore that eats meat to survive have to do with humans who shop at a supermarket? Try again.
4. Cavemen ate meat.

They also clubbed women and dragged them back to their caves. Not so sure we should be making ethical choices based on what people may have done over 100,000 years ago.
5. I’m just one person. If I decide not to eat meat it won’t make a difference.

11. I focus my energy on helping people, not animals.

By choosing to eat a humane vegan diet you are helping people, too. Animals raised for food require massive amounts of feed that could be fed to the one billion starving people around the globe instead. Additionally, factory farms pollute air, waterways, and create massive amounts of dangerous methane gas.
12. Not all farmers are mean.

That may be true, but for the animals the end is always the same: a bloody, violent slaughter. Eating vegan is a matter of putting our ethics on the table.

For those who use the protein crutch as an excuse not to give up burying dead animals in their bodies, I\’ve challenged those who use that crutch to provide me with one, just one, example of someone in the United States, with over 3 million vegetarians and over a million vegans, who has died from lack of protein. Just give me one case, and then I\’ll provide you with hundreds of millions of cases where someone has died of cancer, cardiovascular issues, obesity, strokes, and more all contributed to partaking of dead animals. So far, no one has provided me with even one case.
