This Photographer’s Stunning Pictures of Finland’s Natural Landscape Will Leave You Awestruck
The beauty of our natural world can be both breathtaking and awe-inspiring. There’s nothing like stopping to really look at the world around us and marveling at its incredible features, its serene landscapes or unforgiving terrain. It’s no wonder nature is a favorite muse amongst photographers!
Finnish photographer Mikko Lagerstedt is no exception. Completely self taught, Lagerstedt enjoys capturing Finland’s landscapes, focusing on night shoots and atmospheric scenes mostly.” I love to create visually and emotionally interesting photographs,” he says of his work, “and my goal is to capture the feeling I had when I took the photograph.”
We’d say in terms of creating something visually and emotionally interesting, Lagerstedt has nailed it. Pictures of a night sky rioting with stars, a rustic bridge through mysterious woods, and a silhouette of a person surrounded by fog, all evoke a reaction due to their simple beauty. It’s photos like these that remind us why it’s so important to conserve and protect our natural world, and to appreciate it as the awesome force that it is.
