Couple Finds Stowaway Dog in Luggage

A couple recently had the surprise of their lives after finding a furry stowaway packed away in their suitcases.

The couple, Kristi and Jared Owens, had left their Texas home to go to the airport and board a flight to Las Vegas. These plans were held up, however, when they noticed that their luggage was overweight. Instead of paying the extra fees, they decided to sort through their luggage to try to balance out the weight. They were very glad that they did because once they opened the suitcase, their 5-pound rescue Chihuahua, Icky, suddenly popped out of a cowboy boot!

Mr. Owens said, “Just coming out of the boot is Icky’s little bitty head bobbing up and down with her tongue out. I wish there would have been a picture of our faces when we opened that up and saw that.”

Thankfully the kind airline security official offered to watch Icky until a family member could come and get her so the couple could continue on with their traveling plans. An uncle later came to retrieve the naughty stowaway, and the couple left with a story that you just can’t make up.

This is a word of warning to all traveling pet owners, as you never know when your fur baby might try to come with you!
