Dr. Joren Whitley is an animal chiropractor who ‘works on pretty much every animal’ and has gotten to help so many individuals through his unique career. Dr. Whitley told The Dodo that he has worked on horses, dogs, cats, skunks, foxes, llamas, donkeys, zebras, snakes, and coatimundis. He said that the only animal that he hasn’t worked on was a porcupine, although he did try once.

He has gotten to watch animals regain movement and become much happier after his life-changing chiropractic moves. Watching an animal transform like that is one of the most rewarding parts of his job.

Working with all kinds of different animals means that he needs to learn the anatomy of all the animals. Whenever he has to work on an exotic animal, he goes to the Museum of Osteology to check out the animal’s spines to get a better idea of how he can help them.
