Bruce, a 15-year-old Coton de Tuléar, has warmed hearts with his adorable nightly routine. In a viral TikTok video, Bruce waits patiently by a pullout drawer that serves as his bed, signaling to his human, Jess Baker Smith, that he’s ready to settle down for the night. This routine has been shared widely, with viewers charmed by Bruce’s gentle way of asking for his bed.
Jess, who lives in London, shared that Bruce used to sleep on the bed, but his age makes him prefer a lower, more accessible spot. He’s been sleeping in the custom drawer beside her bed for the past four months. “He much prefers to sleep next to me but closer to the ground, so he can get up for a drink in the night or stretch his legs more easily,” Jess explained.
Bruce’s quiet, patient way of waiting for his drawer to be pulled out has gained him a devoted following online. When Jess forgets, he simply stands by the drawer, offering a silent reminder until she pulls it out.
