Smart Dog Rings Doorbell After Getting Locked Out

When one Weimaraner named Velma got locked out of the house, she knew just what to do! The smart dog simply rang the doorbell to let her people know that she needed to be let back inside. Fortunately, the occurrence was caught on the home’s Ring camera. 

According to Velma’s human, she got out while he was getting something from his car. However, he did not realize that the Weimaraner had escaped and locked the door behind him when he went back inside. Fortunately, the smart dog simply rang the home’s doorbell to make her human aware of the situation. 

Although this smart dog was able to alert her humans that she was stuck outdoors, not all situations where a dog gets loose end that well. For this reason, it is important to make sure that dogs are outfitted with a collar and tags, as well as being microchipped when they are not being supervised.
