Trevor, a four-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier, has spent nearly half his life in an animal shelter in Trenton, New Jersey. Despite facing numerous challenges, Trevor remains hopeful for a forever home.
Trevor’s journey began when he was found wandering the streets. He arrived at the shelter with a stab wound and a unique condition: cross-eyed vision. This condition, possibly resulting from scar tissue after a beating, affects his eye alignment and causes discomfort.
Kenneth, a shelter volunteer, has been advocating for Trevor. Spending time with him, Kenneth noticed Trevor’s energetic and sweet nature, though he can become overly excited and nippy due to his vision issues. Trevor’s eyes often cause him pain, leading to squinting and distress by the end of walks.
Efforts are underway to alleviate Trevor’s discomfort, with the shelter raising funds for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Meanwhile, Trevor waits patiently, his hope undiminished, for a family to offer him the love and care he deserves.
