Rescue Chihuahua Shows Off Smarts, Rendering Gate Useless

A rescue Chihuahua wasted no time in showing her humans that she was much smarter than they were. Gracie the Chihuahua quickly found a way around a stair gate in her new home. Confused as to how the small pup was sneaking past the gate, her human set up a camera to catch the pup in action.

The video shows a human sealing the gate and walking up the stairs. Gracie the rescue Chihuahua stands on the other side of the gate, looking through the slats. Soon, she makes her move. The pup simply goes around the gate and squeezes her way through the banister. She then nimbly hops up the stairs to be with her humans.

Gracie’s antics quickly raked in over 100,000 likes on the platform. It has been viewed more than 3.3 million times. TikTok users were obsessed by how cunning the rescue Chihuahua was. Karla Limo wrote, “I love that she waited until you were out of sight to put her plan into action.” The video’s original poster responded to the comment with, “I know! She is a crack up!”
