A community in Prineville, Oregon, is demanding justice after a blind cat named Pumpkin was allegedly shot three times in the head and left for dead in a dumpster. The accused, a local pastor, admitted to the shooting, claiming the cat had “threatened his chicken coop.” Pumpkin miraculously survived, but he is now permanently blind.
This act of cruelty cannot be ignored. No one who shoots a defenseless animal should hold a firearm license or a position of moral authority. Despite public outrage and charges filed, the accused still possesses a gun license and remains in a leadership role.
Sign the petition now to demand a full investigation, mental health evaluation, and immediate revocation of the shooter’s gun license. Cruelty to animals must carry real consequences — for the safety of both animals and people.
