A dog rescued from the streets with a severe case of malnutrition and health issues found new hope after being fostered. On October 10, TikTok user @rileynm10 shared a throwback video of the dog, joking that a “coyote jumped our fence.” With his thin, multi-colored coat, the dog resembled a coyote at first glance. The family had named him Yodi, partly because of his coyote-like appearance.
Riley said, “He was found on the highway in the summer basically burning to death on the pavement and was skin and bones.” The poor pup had a trachea problem, which made it difficult for him to eat, and dealt with significant skin issues.
Despite his rough start, the dog quickly won the hearts of Riley’s other dogs, who played happily with him in the yard. Over time, Yodi made a full recovery, growing all his fur back. Riley revealed in the comments that he now resembles a German Shepherd, although there may be other breeds in his mix.
The video got 3.8 million views and over 560,000 likes.
