Heartwarming Story of Senior Cat Searching for a Forever Home Goes Viral

A recent TikTok video has brought attention to this issue by sharing the story of Daisy, a 17-year-old cat looking for a family to spend the rest of her life with.

The video, posted by P.A.W.S. of Tinley Park, an animal shelter in Illinois, features Daisy, who has experienced more than her fair share of hardship. The video explains that Daisy was “loved for 14 years” by her original family, but when they moved away, they rehomed her. Sadly, Daisy’s second human recently fell ill, leaving her homeless once again.

“Meet our Sweet Senior Daisy, a 17 1/2-year-old declawed girl. She is calm, sweet, and loving. Daisy has kidney disease and requires a prescription diet,” reads the caption of the touching video. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a common ailment in aging cats, and while there is no cure, it can be managed with veterinary care.
