In the video, the large XL Bully dad can be seen entering the room where his young puppies are. The puppies’ mom is also present. Despite his size, the dog is careful and gentle with the tiny puppies. The video is captioned “first meeting with dad”.
The response to the video was overwhelmingly positive. One TikTok viewer left the comment, “Proud dad right there, getting all choked up.” Another said, “See, this is what an XL Bully is truly like. Beautiful and gentle creatures.”
Although the response to the video was one of admiration for the huge canine’s gentle demeanor, the XL Bully breed has been at the center of an ongoing controversy. The United Kingdom plans to ban these dogs, and discussions about the breed have also been ongoing in the United States. However, many XL Bully advocates remind us that these dogs are not inherently dangerous. Advocates feel that, like other dog breeds, aggressive XL Bullies are the products of their environment and training.
