Wholesome chow gluten-free chocolate lavender mix
I loved this mix! I am not a big fan of mixes and always bake from scratch as I feel baked goods taste better homemade. But this mix takes the "cake." I really enjoyed the chocolate lavender mix. I thought the lavender might be too strong and overwhelming but it wasn't. I was completely satisfied with the taste and texture. It was chocolaty with just the right hint of lavender. I totally recommend.
The All-Purpose Baking mix
I had left an earlier review about how awesome the Lavender cake is, but I was not as crazy about the all-purpose baking mix. Don't get me wrong, it isn't horrible, it was just a tad bit too salty for my taste. I made pancakes that were pleasantly soft, but I feel that this mix should be used for a dish that requires a more salty sense. Perhaps next time I will try something new and it will taste just fab! The sodium is about 640mg per serving in this all-purpose baking flour.
Pleasantly Surprised
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this cake mix. I received the Chocolate one to review, and I baked it for a dinner party I was having. I decided to use almond milk, and I kind of tweaked the baking times. Overall, the texture and the taste were both really nice (which is sometimes hard to find in vegan baked goods depending on the brand). Would definitely recommend to others.
REVIEW FOR WHOLESOME CHOW LAVENDER CAKE
Wholesome Chow’s Organic Lavender Cake is undoubtedly a delicious treat to experience. It is not only convenient to bake, but a joy to the senses! Imagine prepping in your kitchen while the Lavender fragrance makes you feel like you are in an exotic garden. The cake is perfectly moist, incredibly soft, and provides a taste of floral elegance. It can be enjoyed with a cup of tea on any occasion, small or big. The best part is that it is allergy-friendly and has zero cholesterol. This is certainly a royal treat for the health conscious and those with superior taste. It is the crown jewel for easy-to-prepare baking mixes.

yummy and moist!
i was pleasantly surprised by this mix -- while GF baked goods can be rather dense (and this is certainly not angelfood light!), it was very flavorful, not at all grainy, and pleasingly moist/rich. the vanilla flavor was a great backdrop for the summer berry and ginger combination i added to the cupcakes i baked, and i would definitely use this mix again. i would also like to try the other flavors!
my blog post on the cupcakes using this mix is at: http://bentozen.wordpress.com/2012/08/29/birthday-blackberry-ginger-cupcakes/
