The One Green Planet Verdict: Our first impression while trying a few styles of Unstitched Utilities’ line of shoes was “boy, are these shoes lightweight!” They are seriously one of the lightest shoes that we have encountered. To add to it they are made of eco-friendly vegan materials and look pretty damn cool.

We tried the “Hang Up Slip On” and “Cosmo Low.” Both styles are made using a material called Tyvek, developed by DuPont. The material has a worn look to it and is known to be breathable, yet water-resistant and durable.

The Hang Up Slip On comes in various fun colors like blue, pink, yellow and can be used as a daily no-fuss slip on — just step in and walk right out! While the Hang Up Slip On scores higher on the ease factor, the Cosmo Low is more hip.

In the men’s we tried the “Next Day Low” and “Tango Boot” models.. The Next Day Low is your basic pair of kicks, but the wrinkly Tyvek material adds flair. The shoe comes in a range of colors from the classic-looking black to orange! The Tango Boot comes into two colors (Dark Brown/Olive and Dark Chocolate). These boots are made of reclaimed rice bags and synthetic (vegan) leather, which makes them one of the lightest pair of boots you will probably come across. So go ahead and give yourself a cool bad boy look, while showing off your softer side for treading lightly on the planet!

All shoes ran slightly bigger but the company does offer half sizes and while the look of the shoes are fashion forward, the fit still needs a bit more perfecting.
