Bored with your standard peanut or other nut butter? Try this recipe, which has some amazing added flavor from the toasted and salted almond and pecans. You'll never go back to plain nut butter again!
Toasted and Salted Almond-Pecan Butter [Vegan]
1 small (4-ounce) jar
- 2 cups almonds
- 1 cup pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the almonds and pecans on the baking sheet and roast for 7 minutes. While they are still warm, use a kitchen towel to rub off and remove the skins.
- Place the roasted nuts in a food processor or blender, then process on high speed for 6 minutes. Add the salt and blend for 2 more minutes, or longer, until the consistency is creamy.
- Let cool, then store in an airtight container in the fridge.
