How to Prepare Quinoa and Black Bean Burgers [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
- Wash and drain the quinoa and place it into a large saucepan with a good amount of water. Bring it to a boil and simmer it for around 20 minutes or until the quinoa is clear and cooked.
- Drain the quinoa fully.
- Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend until the mixture has a chunky for texture.
- Place the burger mixture into a bowl and chill it in the refrigerator for 25 minutes.
- Form the mixture into burgers and place onto baking paper then put the burgers back into the refrigerator for 10 more minutes.
- Coat a large wok or pan with oil and heat it on low.
- Cook the burgers 5-8 minutes on each side until they are brown and crispy.
- Make your burger by adding a slice of lettuce onto a bun, along with tomatoes, red onion, guacamole, salsa, and sesame seeds.
Notes
You can freeze the burgers in a sealed container for later use but defrost them fully before you cook them.
