This is a super simple recipe for a delicious vegan plum tart. It takes little time to prepare and is the perfect cake for a cozy afternoon tea!

Plum Tart [Vegan]


Cooking Time




  • 1 + 3/4 cups spelt flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup raw cane sugar


  • 3 tablespoons ground almonds
  • 1 tablespoon spelt flour
  • 1/4 cup raw cane sugar
  • 2 + 1/4 pound plums
  • pinch of cinnamon


  1. First mix the olive oil and water. Mix the remaining ingredients in another bowl.
  2. Add the oil-water mixture to the dry ingredients, then knead into a dough. Press into a prepared springform/tart form (8-inch). Spread with your hands so that the corners are filled.
  3. Place the springform pan/tart pan in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. Preheat the oven at 400°F (top/bottom heat).
  4. Prepare the filling: In a bowl mix the flour, sugar, pinch of cinnamon and the ground almonds. Wash and slice the plums.
  5. Take the springform pan/tart pan out of the fridge. Spread the flour, cinnamon, sugar + almond mixture over the dough. Spread the plum pieces on the base.
  6. Bake for approx. 40-45 minutes.
