How to Prepare Blistered Edamame [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

  1. Before starting this recipe, have everything prepped.
  2. In a small bowl combine tamari or soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Turn on your stove's exhaust fan.
  3. Place a large skillet over high heat and let the pan get very hot. Add the sesame oil to the pan.
  4. Carefully add the edamame (it can splatter) but don't stir it. Allow it to sear and blister for about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the tamari mixture and toss it to combine and continue to cook everything until the sauce coats the edamame; no more than 2-3 minutes.
  6. Transfer the edamame to a serving bowl.
