Avocado Smash With Cashew Drizzle and Hazelnut Dukkah [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
Who doesn't love some good avocado toast? It's filling, can be dressed in all sorts of ways, and it's healthy! This particular recipe, adds a drizzle of creamy cashew cheese and a sprinkle of zesty hazelnut dukkah (a traditionally Egyptian mixture of nuts, herbs, and spices).

How to Prepare Avocado Smash With Cashew Drizzle and Hazelnut Dukkah [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
To Make the Cashew Cheese:
- Blend the cashews with the lemon, water, and salt until smooth.
- Transfer to a plastic zip lock bag
To Make the Hazelnut Dukkah:
- Lightly toast the sesame seeds until slightly golden
- In a food processor, lightly blend the sesame seeds, hazelnuts, spices, and salt until it's combined. Leave some pieces of hazelnuts still intact.
- Transfer to an airtight container.
To Assemble:
- Once the bread is toasted, spread with a thick layer of avocado.
- Get the cashew cheese and cut a small snip in the corner of the plastic bag. Lightly drizzle the cashew cheese over the avocado.
- Sprinkle with chili flakes and hazelnut dukkah and serve.
