If you’re someone who is anticipating the warm welcome of a new baby into your life, you’ve probably been reading every resource you can find about what in the heck you’re supposed to give your little one for nourishment.

Breastmilk is one, perhaps obvious, answer (although not every mother chooses to or is able to breastfeed their child). However, at a certain point, your baby is going to grow, and require more solid sustenance.

For plant-based eaters or those with dietary restrictions, figuring out what to feed a child can feel all the more challenging. After all, the number one priority is always to ensure that your child has enough nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and calories to grow and thrive. That means processed baby foods jam-packed with unrecognizable ingredients and fillers probably aren’t the best choice.

Enter: Pure Spoon, a line of 100 percent fresh, certified-organic cold-pressed fruit and veggie baby purées that were developed by an actual mother, named Alyson Eberle, for other mothers.

Fresh, organic, baby-approved goodness.

“As a new mother, I felt the same pressures that most of us do: I wanted my baby to be the happiest, healthiest baby, and it was up to my husband and me to make that happen,” Eberle wrote.

However, when Eberle’s child was finally old enough to try food Eberle was unimpressed with her grocery store’s baby food selection. “Everywhere we turned there was nothing but synthetic junk: jars and plastic pouches filled with over-processed ingredients – some of which we couldn’t even pronounce,” she wrote. “Disgusted by what we saw there, we headed to the produce section instead and gathered up fresh, local, organic goodies.”

Soon, Pure Spoon was born. Eberle’s products are pediatrician-approved, their packaging is 100 percent recyclable, and they make their products according to the season, which means your baby gets to sample a variety of seasonal produce and different flavors and textures.

Avocados and pears? Yes!
