Ripple Foods is best known for its rich, creamy high-protein non-dairy milk alternative made of pea protein. It’s an allergy-friendly alternative to the usual soy and almond dairy-free milks. It’s also loved by those who love to bulk up on protein. It’s become a pretty popular non-dairy brand, having also released vegan half and half coffee creamer and a barista-style edition to their pea milk. They also have vegan protein powders and shakes available at stores. This week, they’ll be officially offering another dairy-free product: ice cream!
At the start of the year, it was predicted that plant-based ice creams free of cow milk would be taking over in 2020, and Ripple’s launch seems to feed into that prediction.
The ice cream flavors they will be offering include vanilla, cinnamon churro, chocolate, mint chip, and cookies & crème. Like their milks, the ice creams are made with their trademark Ripptein pea blend, which means they’ll likely be higher in protein than most ice cream products.

Ripple told One Green Planet: “The taste and texture is comparable to traditional dairy ice cream, but Ripple’s version will be 100% vegan and dairy-free. Each pint is formulated to be rich and indulgent, just like dairy ice cream, with each serving containing 250-280 calories.”
Starting on Thursday, February 6th the ice creams will be available at all Sprouts Farmers Market locations and will be available in more stores in Spring and Summer.
