A Reddit user recently posted a recipe on the forum r/plantbaseddiet that they had an AI curate and asked users what modifications they would make to the recipe.
Asked an AI to curate a recipe. Do you think this is pretty accurate? If not, what modifications would you make?

The recipe posted by u/Danaheh was curated by an AI called ChatGPT and is entirely plant-based. The recipe that the AI came up with is a Lentil and Sweet Potato Stew. The recipe makes 4-6 servings and includes green lentils, sweet potatoes, diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, paprika, ground cumin, dried thyme dried oregano, vegetable broth, and of course, salt and pepper. Not too bad for an AI!
The recipe is simple but packed with nutrients from the veggies. While most users seemed to agree that they were quite impressed by the AI, others were not too sure about the ratios. For example, the AI says to use one cup of dried lentils and two medium-sized sweet potatoes which many would be a bit too much.
“It’s not as bad as I thought,” one user wrote. “2 sweet potatoes is way too much sweet potato compared with the amount of lentil. I would just use 1 small one.”
This user also was not too sure about the spice ratios and suggested people make it with one spice being the ‘star’.
Another user said they would simply swap out one of the two sweet potatoes with some bell peppers.
“I’d do exactly this, but just swap one of the sweet potatoes for a red, orange or yellow bell pepper.”
“I think this is a great recipe. I would add more liquid- maybe 6-8 cups total to accommodate for the sweet potatoes,” another added.
What modifications would you make to this AI-generated plant-based meal?
