U.K. friends, rejoice! Plant-based food company Fry’s Family Food has just launched an all-new line of ready-to-eat frozen meals and we are drooling over how good they sound. Although we here in the U.S. have yet to have the pleasure of trying food from Fry’s range of plant-based meats, we’re no strangers to the name that they have built for themselves.
Earlier this year, the family company was earned the Innovation Award for their Flaxseed Schnitzel at the Anuga FoodTec Taste Innovation Show, the world’s largest trade show for food and drink. So, we think that we can expect that their new range will certainly please the palates of those who can get their hands on it. Check out the full range of products below:

As you can probably tell, we’re jealous of all the tasty new plant-based options that are now available. However, it’s just another sign of the times. Consumers are starting to lose interest in meat, which has lead to the growing demand for plant-based products. Here’s hoping that we’ll see Fry’s in the U.S. very soon!
Make Your Own Meat-Free Pies at Home
Fry’s new range of foods seriously has us craving some hearty, meat-free pies. So, we searched the Food Monster App for recipes and here are some of our favorite options:
Forget everything you know about traditional veggie pot pies – this Hearty Winter Curry Pot Pie by Rebecca Fallihee will be your new go-to! The rich, comforting flavors of curry spice, coconut milk, and ginger enveloped in a flaky pie crust will warm you right up on a cold winter evening.
This dairy-free Mac and Cheese Pie by Emily Wilkinson features a flaky pie crust filled with gooey, cheesy mac and cheese. There’s something otherworldly about the way these things come together, so much that you’ll probably be left speechless when you take your first bite. You can make one large pie for this recipe or several small ones, if you’re looking to make a shareable appetizer.
Just like authentic patties, these Jamaican “Beef” Patties by Rhea Parsons have a spicy, meaty filling with cheese surrounded by a dough that’s flaky and flavorful. They can be filled with greens, veggies, tofu, seitan or whatever you love. This filling is TVP (“Textured Vegetable Protein,” which can be found in the health food aisle of most grocery stores) but you could also use vegan burger crumbles, soy crumbles, or for the healthiest version, lentils.
