It’s always wonderful to see celebrities with influence and money helping people. It’s even more impressive when they do so using eco-friendly resources and plant-based food, as Jaden Smith does. Two years ago, he debuted a plant-based trio of Impossible Sliders at Umami Burgers to help with hurricane relief. He’s also helped the residents of Flint, Michigan have access to clean water with his eco-friendly water company, Just Water. Now, he’s feeding the homeless people of Los Angeles with a free food truck that serves healthy, vegan food!

The food truck is called the “I Love You Restaurant” and it was parked in Skid Row, a neighborhood in Los Angeles known for the very high homeless population. Although he called it a one-day pop-up event, the caption on his Instagram announcement says it is the “first of many.”

The I Love You Restaurant is serving bowls, seen on their Instagram page and there are many boxes of Just Water on the truck. It’s not just a kind thing to do for people in need, but it’s a nice message. With each bowl and with each glance at the truck, people are reminded that they are loved.

Smith also shared a video of people lined up receiving the free food.

Although Smith is receiving praise from celebrities for doing this kind, amazing thing, it’s clear from his previous ventures and this one, that he clearly is passionate about helping others. We admire Smith for using his platform, businesses, and money to help and heal people with plant-based food. The entire project is just full of compassion!
