July 29th is National Chicken Wings Day, but it’s also known as National Buffalo Wings Day. Chicken wings are one of the most popular dishes in the United States. As proof, in 2013, 27 billion chicken wings were eaten — that’s a lot of wings. We don’t have to sit out on eating delicious, spicy, saucy, and crispy “wings” — we can recreate the tastes with veggies and sauces.
Cauliflower has been the forerunner of the whole foods plant-based “wings,” but it’s not the only way we can bring plant-based wings to our table. We can use plant-based meats, other veggies, avocado… We’ll try not to spoil too much for you. Are you ready for what’s coming?
