Coffee Mate just launched its very own set of plant-based creamers for the first time in the company’s 50-year history. The two new flavors, French Vanilla and Caramel, are almond and oat-based versions of their popular dairy creamers.
According to Coffee Mate, plant-based creamers will not make up 15 percent of the category. Although the company previously launched non-dairy creamers in the United States back in 2017 through its Natural Bliss line, this new venture will be the first dairy-free creamer sold as Coffee Mate.
The plant-based food market is booming, and research suggests it could make up 7.7 percent of the global protein market by 2030. With a value of $29.4 billion in 2020, experts suggest that the plant-based foods market could have a value of over $162 billion by the end of the decade.
